CONDRIEU Lieu-Dit VERLIEU (prestigious white wine from the Rhône Valley)
Yves CUILLERON Estate
Vintage : 2018
Grape variety : 100 % Viognier
Alcohol : 14,5 % / Vol
The CONDRIEU appellation is the lord in white of the Rhone Valley wines and is known throughout the world.
Its production is spread over 7 communes located in 3 departments: Loire, Rhône and Ardèche but all these communes are within a radius of 15-20 km with an exceptional subsoil for white wine.
This Condrieu cuvée is made by Yves CUILLERON from vines located in the Lieu-Dit "Verlieu" in the commune of Chavanay in the Loire in the heart of the appellation area.
A viticulture reasoned like all the wines of the domain with a green harvest for a beautiful selection of grapes and to promote maturation.
After 12 months of maturing separated in two parts: half in wooden tuns and half in Burgundian barrels, we obtain a Condrieu of a very beautiful quality!
A very floral nose with field flowers like all the white flowers that appear in spring and of course a fruity note with apricot and peach typical of this emblematic grape variety.
Beautiful roundness in mouth where all these aromas are sublime and offer us a beautiful length.
A wine that can be enjoyed young and that will not suffer from a wait of several years, even up to a cellaring of nearly 10 years.
