Saint-Joseph INSTINCT - Domaine JOLIVET

Vin Rouge

RED WINE

SAINT-JOSEPH RED ROUGE (Great wine of the Rhone Valley)

Grape variety : 100% Syrah - Sustainable Agriculture

Vintage : choose your vintage belong price (14° vol.)

Bastien JOLIVET is a young winegrower, but with this red Saint-Joseph for 3 vintages he has been shaking up the lines by imposing himself on prestigious tables such as those of the 3-star restaurants of BOCUSE in Lyon or PIC in Valence.

It has to be said that this Saint-Joseph is really very pleasant, worthy of the highest quality and for a price that remains very reasonable given the quality. And we must take advantage of it because with its growing success, the rewards which parade on its wines, and vintages exhausted very quickly, the prices of the wines of the domain JOLIVET have not finished increasing!

This red wine is made from plots of vines over 70 years old, harvested by hand and with part of the entire harvest vinified. The wine is aged for 12 months in partially used French oak barrels for a controlled, fine and elegant woodiness.

This red wine is fleshy, with an engaging nose full of spices and black fruits. On the palate it is an explosion of black fruit aromas, notably blackberry and black pepper. The finish is spicy and slightly cocoa.

It is a great red Saint-Joseph with a very good ageing potential. To be discovered for the amateurs of powerful and well-balanced Saint-Joseph.

Food and wine pairing with this Saint-Joseph INSTINCT from Domaine Jolivet

With a red wine of this quality the agreements are not very complicated, one will appreciate it in all occasions: As an aperitif with a cured ham for the Saint Joseph fans, with a tasty meat in sauce like a leg of lamb or a duck breast, or with a sweet/salty meat like a fruit Tagine. It is also a very pleasant wine with strong cheeses.

wouahou, un vin qui vaut le détour!

Le domaine Jolivet m'était totalement inconnu. Belle surprise. Ce Saint-Joseph Instinct est au niveau de très grands vignerons de la vallée du Rhône.
