SAINT-JOSEPH "Les Serines" - Great Red Wine of the Rhône Valley
Yves CUILLERON Estate
Vintage : choose your vintage below price
Grape variety : 100 % Syrah
Alcohol: 13,5 % / Vol
The word "Serine" is not well known throughout France except in the Rhone Valley where it is immediately identified with the name of the famous grape variety that prevails in this wine-growing region: Syrah!
Serine is, in fact, the old name given to Syrah in this region.
It is not for nothing that Yves CUILLERON gave this name to this Saint-Joseph. We are in the presence of a red Saint-Joseph that is rooted in tradition with a blend of grapes from old vines planted on a granite terroir.
On the nose, one can distinguish beautiful aromas of black fruits with a light woodiness that reminds us of the 18 months of maturing.
On the palate, we also find beautiful notes of black fruits with a beautiful maturity. A superb Saint-Joseph that will not leave you speechless!
A vintage that is ready to drink and that can be kept without any problem for ten years or so.
Food and wine pairing with this Saint-Joseph de Cuilleron
We had the opportunity to taste it with a typical Burgundian meal: As a starter, eggs in meurette, a Burgundian speciality with a soft boiled egg topped with a red wine sauce with onions and bacon. Then, a beautiful entrecote steak with again a wine sauce !!!! A treat!

Magnifique Saint-Joseph rouge
